We collect only such information as is necessary to advise you properly: your name, contact details, family circumstances, particulars of your assets within and beyond the United Arab Emirates, and the identities of your intended beneficiaries, executors and guardians. Where you contact us through the website, we additionally retain the message and the associated correspondence trail.

Personal information is processed for the purpose of providing legal advice and preparing the instruments you have instructed us to prepare, for the registration of those instruments with the competent authority, and for the management of the professional relationship between you and the chambers. The lawful bases on which we rely are the performance of our engagement with you, compliance with our regulatory and statutory obligations, and the legitimate interests of the chambers in administering its practice.

Information is disclosed only to those within the chambers who require it to advise you, to the registry with which your Will is lodged, to courts or notaries where required for execution, and to professional translators bound by equivalent duties of confidence. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for marketing purposes.

Files are retained for the duration of the professional relationship and thereafter for such period as is required by applicable law and prudent professional practice, typically not less than ten years from the closure of the matter.

Records are held under appropriate technical and organisational safeguards. Electronic records are stored on access-controlled systems; physical originals are held in secure custody at our registered office.

You may request access to the information we hold concerning you, the correction of inaccuracies, and, subject to our retention obligations, its erasure. Requests should be addressed to info@lex-services.com and will be acknowledged without undue delay.
